Sailor is a 10 year old female black lab rescue, who was severely
abused and injured when National Dog Day founder Colleen Paige came to
find her at the shelter. She was only a year old and had been severely
beaten and horribly starved. But is now she's a member of Colleen's family
and since she was saved, she'd love to help save another life through this
program. Sailor LOVES children and will visit schools to teach them how to keep
themselves and their pets
safe!
Also available will be low cost seminars for
adults, both in person and via the internet to educate pet owners and
parents about all the hidden risks that the world and their homes pose to
their loved ones.
This program was created and will be instructed by National Dog Day
founder, Animal Behaviorist, Pet Safety Expert and Parent - Colleen Paige,
who is a former Critical Care Veterinary Assistant & Los Angeles
Paramedic, who has not only rescued hundreds of pets and children from pools,
auto accidents
and house fires, but at the age of two, snuck out into the back yard, fell
into the family swimming pool and nearly drowned... had her father not
heard the splash and saved her.
Then at the age of 18, she was ejected through
the windshield of an SUV being driven by a friend who became distracted
and ran a red light. No alcohol or drugs were involved, but simple and
innocent distraction that nearly killed Colleen and her 4 other friends.
She barely survived her injuries and
because of her personal and career experiences combined, as well as being
a mother and having pets that she considers part of the family - she is
dedicated to saving more lives by making pet and child
safety top priority in her life.
Email Sailor a letter or a drawing and she'll write
you back! ALL drawings will be featured on her new web page coming soon!
